Starbucks Changes Logo – What Are We Selling?

starbucks-new-logoFor the fourth time in company history Starbucks has changed it’s logo. Can I say I’m suprprised at this change. Where is the company name? Branding 101 – graphic icon and name. We’ll see how this does but I’m not sure if new customers will understand they’re selling coffe – hair care products maybe – coffe no. I’m sure shareholders need to understand this as well. I guess when you turn 40 you need to do something. Is this something enough?

My New Cell Phone – EVO vs. Epic

Sprint has made my choice for a new phone much more difficult. I have wanted an Android phone for some time but was not eligible for a new phone upgrade until just recently. I had planned on getting an HTC EVO. Since there are none to be had my plan may be thwarted. Best Buy and Radio Shack have not had the phone in stock since shortly after its release. Seems there was some sort of AMOLED screen shortage caused by Samsung using all the screen supply itself. HTC was contracted to Samsung for said Evo screens. Sticky situation. No screens no Evos.
