Amazon Kindle DX – Worth it?
Great article about the Kindle DX released yesterday (5-6-2009). The Kindle has always perplexed me. For the money I could get a Net book or a small screen laptop and read most anything I would be interested in. I think the market for this device is definitely the college bound student and his/her need for text books. But how long until some smart kid cracks the Kindle and is able to provide books for all his friends for free. Buy once share with many. We will see as this niche continues to develop. When the price comes down they will be more widely used but until then - as the article states - this is a luxury device for a niche market.
