WordPress Wins ‘.net Magazine’ Award 2008
Just received my fresh copy of .net magazine (known as Practical Web Design here in the U.S.). I was thumbing through as normal just before my deep dive and WOW a half-page photo of Matt Mullenweg. What the!?! It seems WordPress 2.5 has won the .net award for ‘Open Source Applicaiton of the Year 2008′. Congratulations of course to the everyone involved.
Runners Up: Firefox 3 and VLC Media Player (tied for second)
It seems WordPress is unstoppable these days. The article can be found on page 49 of issue 184. It may not be on sale in the U.S. just yet as subscribers get their issues a few days before the newstands. Again congratulations to WordPress and the entire WordPress community.
